I'll spare you the gory details

but I now know what it's like to take care of a sick child. Not the sniffles or an occasional cough... not even the respiratory infection we have already dealt with... no, we are talking about the full on sick.

Now when Chase was a baby he would spit up... that was his 'thing'... and it was funny and annoying. This... this was not spit up. We have entered the world of vomiting... and it sucks. He threw up... not once, not twice, not 3 times... 4 separate times in 3.5 hours. I have never seen terror in his eyes like I did when he was in the middle of it... not even when he busted his lip. I wanted so bad to make it stop but all I could do was hold him and try to sooth him. It makes me shudder to even think about it.

Needless to say we are on a strictly bland diet with teaspoon fulls of Pedialyte. I am hoping and praying that he sleeps through the night without getting sick and wakes up good as new tomorrow... please pray with me ;~)

oh this is no fun for you! A couple nights ago Sam woke up with a fever of almost 102. I got two and a half hours of sleep that night...it's so hard not to worry. When Sam was about one he got sick with the flu, but thankfully it only lasted a day and he threw up maybe three times...all of which he managed to do on his blankets so it was easy to clean. I feel your struggles. Have already prayed for you and will continue to through the evening. What a blessing that Chase has such an attentive mother, I'm sure he is comforted by your presence and all your loving attention.

I pray for a complete and total healing for Chase, that our Father's angels will stand guard around him through the night so that he is able to be at peace and regain his strength. I am thankful for Chase's complete recovery and that our God is forever faithful.

My prayers are with you. Claire had a 5-day bought of diarrhea a few weeks ago, but that's still nothing like the vomiting. I dread the day that arrives at our house. I hope he is feeling better very soon.
