Unlike our last attempt, we actually made it to Hershey Park! Unfortunately we were sans Grandpa but we still managed to have a good time.
Starting our day
After the Hershey tour they hand out miniature chocolate bars... and Chase got his very own one! Now I haven't given him pure sugar in candy/chocolate form before... cakes, brownies, ice cream yes but candy, nope... this was his first time!
He loved it... wolfed it down and promptly asked for more 'choc pop'. Luckily he is still at an age when I tell him it's all gone, he believes me and moves on.
First ride of the day... the super slide! Chase loved it. This was actually his second time down, first time was with daddy!
After a few more kiddie rides we headed to the water park. Chase loved the water areas... especially anything that involved daddy doing it with him. I thought he would hate the sprayers in the above shot but he tolerated them just fine for the thrill of sliding down with daddy... so cute!
After the water park we got lunch... corn dogs! Yummy!
At this point it was about 2:30 or so and Chase had gone all morning without a nap... and he was still in a really good mood. We decided to take the monorail ride but ended up waiting in a very long line. Turns out, that was the best thing because it took us away from the crowds and Chase was able to relax in my arms. By the time we got to the front of the line he was out.
He spent the entire 'cha-choo' ride like this. Oh how I love that sleeping baby... reminds me of the very early days when he slept on me....
just a little smaller then. *sigh*
I digress...
The nap didn't last too long...
but as you can see, that didn't matter. He was ready for the rest of the day... oh and Grandma was feeding him fudge here. He's a chocaholic for life.
We hit up a couple more rides...
I played a little skee ball (which I could do all day if Chase would let me ;~)...
and we played a little whack a mole! This is the victor shot... we were competing against a father daughter duo and we won! The bear in Chase's hand is his trophy ;~)
As we were leaving the park I noticed that the Coal Cracker allowed Chase's size on... oh yeah, could not pass that up!
Waiting in line... the only group shot of the day!
Getting ready to go up!
Splashing around on the ride!
And on our way down! I know Chase looks terrified but I swear to you the moment we landed he squealed with delight. He was laughing and smiling all over the place. He kept pointing to the boat saying "Tase boat" (which is 'Chase boat' for those not fluent in Chase).
On our way to the exit we happened across these guys...
The Cocoa Rhythm Factory! Chase was mesmerized by them.
He loosened up a little and started dancing to the beat.
I seriously think these guys make being in band cool ;~)
On our way out we took the Hershey tour again... and got more miniatures! And of course Chase recognized the packaging... there was no denying him choc pop!
On our way home we stopped at Red Robin... who knew their burgers were so good? Still no Steak and Shake but they were definitely worth the stop!
As always, Chase had a good time!
It was a really long day but so totally worth it. Adam, Grandma and I couldn't believe how well Chase behaved the whole day. He was very easy going and extremely pleasant all day... even with just a 15 minute nap. He also walked almost the entire park by himself (well holding someones hand but you get the idea). We kept asking if he wanted up or wanted his stroller and he would definitively say 'no' and shake his head. The kid has stamina!

One of the cutest kids EVER. My favorite picture is of him asleep on you, too adorable. Glad y'all had such a good time.
What a fun day! Looks like Chase really enjoyed himself. And Skee Ball- one of my favorite games to play! We still need to plan a trip to a Steak and Shake :)
The kid has stamina, is able to go with the flow, loves adventure as well as a challenge, lives, loves, and laughs at the little things in life that gives him pleasure ummm I wonder where he gets it from? MAMAH AND DAHDEE. I am glad you finally got to enjoy HERSHEY!

This looks a real fun summer day!
Sounds like a blast. So happy Chsase was in such a good mood for it all.
Absolutely loved the scared chase picture. Ben goes from utterly terrible to squealing for joy in about 3 secconds, too.
