I'm standin here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye...
Yep! We're leaving on a jet plane tomorrow. We are headed to San Francisco to visit my dad and his girlfriend.
I am a little nervous about traveling with Chase but I just keep telling myself that it can't possibly be the worst 6 hours of my life... been there done that. And if it isn't the worse, well then I can handle it.
I also have an entire carry on of distractions for Chase. Color wonder markers, playdoh (thanks Kristen), cookies, Elmo magnetic book, truck slide and find book, stickers, Elmo ipod, Thomas and friend train cars, Elmo snacks, coloring book, cell phone, new Elmo DVD... you get the idea. An endless (hopefully) supply of toys, games and food.
Our garden is blowing up these days so my MIL has agreed to come over and water it (and get the mail and generally make sure the house is still standing ;~) For her efforts she gets to pick the first tomatoes of our season! I hope they are good ones!
So it's late and I really should be turning in... 5:30 will come early... but I have to post a few pictures from Monday. We had the gang over for outdoor pool fun...
Chase is having a hard time learning to share with others.
Or course...
introduce a little mischief and suddenly he is fine.
And once he calms down and realizes everyone can play...
Well he becomes all smiles again!

It is all about how to distract those little guys. Hmmm... I am glad to find that you are safely in CA now.
So, I'm in San Francisco, too, until Sunday morning. Maybe we will cross paths...it really is a small city!
