I'm Sorry

but does this kid look like a little girl?

This was taken before Christmas... we were shopping in Kohl's and someone commented about how cute she looked. He is wearing brown skater shoes, khaki's and a gray race car hoodie...

I just don't get it.

  1. I think it's the hair. But don't take it too personally, we dress Anna in all pink with a bow on her head and people still ask how old my son is. :-)

  2. I agree with the townleys, it probably is the hair...you know, I've made the same mistake before, and after it happened I couldn't figure out why I thought the little boy was a girl.

  4. yeah, i may have this problem (gender identification) because my daughters name is Charlie! Everytime- "this is my daughter Charlie."
    "CHarlie, he's so cute!"
"no, my daughter, she's a girl!"
I should start saying Charlie Ann :)

  5. Don't feel pressured to cut his hair. Chase is an adorable little boy. People probably mistake him for a girl because he's so darn cute (as opposed to most boys who are gross) ;)

  6. When my son was around that age, he was such a *pretty* toddler, with big long eyelashes, we got the "she" thing sometimes and when our daughter was just a baby, she'd be decked out in pink or purple and we'd get "Oh, he's so cute." When I see babies/toddlers where I'm really unsure, I'll just say, "Oh, what a sweetheart - so gorgeous" or "what beautiful eyes!" Something gender neutral. :-)

  7. he is adorable! probably the whole hair thing caused the confusion, but I'm sure you're loathe to cut it- it's so shiny and soft!
meanwhile, take the other's advice- Don't take it personally :) I know I've made the same mistake on more than one occasion.whoops!
